Welcome, fellow ninjas….
Here we will co-create the journey to the summit and back to earth in one piece.
“We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light” ~ Plato
Childhood trauma is more frequent than we would like to believe. There are some who say none of us get through childhood whole, whether our wounding results from too little of what we really need, or too much of what we shouldn’t get. If wounding or neglect does not happen in our family of origin, it may come to us through school or from the neighbor down the street who doesn’t know better. We propagate the wounding received unto other innocents. And if that wasn’t enough, there are accidents, illnesses and natural disasters. When I open up a memoir or listen to a you-tube video in which the protagonist says, “I had a very wonderful, peaceful childhood,” I do several mental double takes. I say, “Good for you!!!” Unfortunately, it is more the exception than the rule. Too many of us come out of childhood with physical, emotional and spiritual wounds and scars which interfere with our lives and perhaps even worse are passed on to our children. We spend most of our lives acting out these unconscious patterns or running around in circles through various psychotherapeutic and medication-imbibing paths. Someone else or something else can fix us. Finding the path to transcend our victimhood is possible. I hope you join me in this journey.
